About GRI

GRI continually improves its corporate citizenship standing by meeting economic, legal and ethical responsibilities in the community that we operate in. Helping create a better quality of life in the community while creating profitability for our stakeholders is something we do every day. Many of the social projects undertaken continue throughout the year and are appreciated by all involved.

  • Donate dry food and essential items to the people affected by the floods and landslides in Sri Lanka.
  • Renovation of Aryuvadic Medical Center at Badalgama grandly opened on 25th October 2017.
  • Handing over a submersible pump to the local school in Badalgama
  • Provide Drinking Water and water storage tanks for the village in Bagalgama.
  • Sponsored Beefy’s Big Walk – Foundation of Goodness.
    • To bring change in the lives of those affected by the tsunami and the war, via Foundation of Goodness. Walk was from 1st to 8th November 2013. Coincided with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Sri Lanka. GRI featured in all marketing material at the Beefy’s Big Walk in Sri Lanka.

    • Community project for protecting the environment by planting 100 tree saplings at the factory premises.
    • Annual contributions to the deaf and blind school and Jaipur legs. Contribution to complete maternity ward in a village hospital.
    • Support for the local community through local purchase of all consumables for the factory as well as assignment of contracts, machining and construction work.
    • Tree planting project named “GRI Thuruliya” – giving valuable plants as gifts to GRI employees’ & their children’s birthdays. Tree planting projects in various temples, churches and schools.
